Lois Lenski’s paintings

She wrote children’s books and also painted for her stories herself.
I went to her exhibition last year. And now it came to my mind again now.
Her works were mostly painted with black ink and limited number of primary colors. Although most of them were black and white paintings, they look very lively and active. Her use of gradient was very well-managed, so it effectively demonstrates cute, happy and in-motion quality of each character and atmosphere, so that it makes overall impression COLORFUL.
